AT THE CIRCUIT

To make sure you don't have any worries during the race weekend and can focus on what's happening on the track, we have some practical tips for you.

FOOD AND DRINK

You won’t have to worry about going hungry during race weekends. Nearly every grandstand is equipped with a food area offering refreshments. There are plenty of options for buying food and drinks at the stands, including permanent bars and newly introduced food trucks, each offering a variety of culinary choices. While not all stands will feature the full selection of food available across the circuit due to logistical limitations, every stand will offer a range of alternatives to suit different preferences. Visitors are allowed to bring small amounts of personal food and beverages, like a single bottle, sandwich, piece of fruit, or snack.

COMMUNICATION

Before heading to the circuit, be sure to save all essential information on your phone, such as tickets, maps, and details about your favourite riders. On Sundays, especially, the network at the TT Circuit Assen can get overloaded, making it difficult to access data. Keep in mind that contacting your friends might not be possible. If you're planning to meet up with anyone, arrange a specific time and place in advance, just like in the days before mobile phones.

NOISE

Keep in mind that motorsport events can be extremely loud. While the noise level in regular grandstands is generally manageable, it's advisable to wear earplugs if you're sitting closer to the track. If you're attending with children, be sure they have headphones for protection.

WEATHER

In late June, Assen generally experiences pleasant summer conditions, with daytime highs reaching around 20 to 21°C (68 to 70°F) and nighttime lows dropping to roughly 10 to 11°C (50 to 52°F). Rainfall is fairly frequent, with 12 to 15 days of rain expected throughout the month, contributing to about 80–85 mm (3.3 inches) of total precipitation. The area enjoys a moderate amount of sunlight, with around 35% sunny days, though cloudy intervals and occasional showers are common. Packing a light raincoat and layered clothing is recommended to adapt to the variable weather.
