BY PLANE

Flying is the fastest and most convenient way to reach the TT Circuit Assen, especially for international visitors.

The nearest airport is Groningen Airport Eelde, located about 20 kilometres from the circuit, offering limited but quick access. However, for a wider range of international flights and greater convenience, Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is the primary choice. Schiphol offers numerous direct flights from major cities worldwide and provides excellent onward travel connections to Assen via train or car, making it the most flexible option for international travellers.

Groningen Airport Eelde (GRQ)

This airport is approximately 20 km from the TT Circuit Assen. From there, you can take a taxi, rental car, or public transport to the circuit. Taxi or rental cars are available at the airport, and public transport options (buses or trains) can take you to Assen.

Transportation from the airport
Though there are no direct trains or buses from the airport to the circuit, you can take a bus from the airport to the Groningen Central Station, followed by a train to Assen NS railway station. From there, you can catch a local/shuttle bus or taxi to the circuit. The entire journey via public transport takes around 1 hour.

Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS)

Around 180 km from Assen, Schiphol is the largest international airport in the Netherlands. From Schiphol, you can take a direct train to Assen (around 2 hours) or rent a car and drive via the A28 motorway.

Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS)  is located about 9 kilometres southwest of Amsterdam. As one of the most well-connected airports in Europe, it handles flights to and from major cities worldwide, offering a vast range of airlines and services. Schiphol is known for its efficient layout, extensive shopping and dining options, and excellent facilities for international travellers, including hotels, lounges, and business centres.
